On 6 October 2026, the EU-GaNoM consortium gathered in Nantes, France, for its Final Conference, marking an important milestone in the project's implementation and providing an opportunity to present its main achievements, results and prospects for future cooperation.
Three Key Results
The conference highlighted three key results developed throughout the project:
Staff Training Week Model
A structured approach to organising international staff training activities and fostering knowledge exchange among partner institutions.
Training Materials for Project Officers
Interactive educational resources designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills required for engagement in European research and education projects.
Transferability of Project Deliverables
Exploring how the project's results can be adapted and used by other higher education institutions to strengthen their institutional capacities, international cooperation and project development.
Roundtable Discussion
An important part of the conference was this roundtable discussion, which brought together representatives of European university alliances and international relations professionals to exchange experiences and perspectives on the role of European cooperation in strengthening institutional capacities and advancing joint initiatives.
The roundtable featured:
The exchange focused on how European university alliances can strengthen staff capacities in designing and managing Erasmus+ KA2 projects, and how strategic partnerships can contribute to the development of shared priorities and policies.
Participants also reflected on the importance of connecting institutional strategies with European cooperation initiatives, sharing expertise across partner universities and building sustainable frameworks for joint research and higher education projects.
The Final Conference provided an opportunity for partners to reflect on the project's achievements, share experiences and consider how its results can continue to be used beyond the project's lifetime.
Looking Ahead
As EU-GaNoM reaches its conclusion, its outcomes offer a valuable foundation for strengthening institutional capacities, empowering administrative staff and EU Grant Advisors, and supporting higher education institutions in pursuing new opportunities for European cooperation and funding.
