EU-GaNoM Staff Training Week Successfully Held in Murcia, Spain (20–24 April 2026)
From 20 to 24 April 2026, the EU-GaNoM Staff Training Week, hosted by the University of Murcia, brought together academics, researchers, project managers, and administrative staff from partner institutions for a week of intensive learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
The programme was designed to strengthen participants’ capacities in the management and implementation of European projects, with a particular focus on Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe opportunities, project sustainability, innovation, and international cooperation. Throughout the week, participants attended a series of expert-led training sessions, workshops, and interactive activities covering key topics such as project design and proposal writing, artificial intelligence in project development, quality assurance, Lean management, lump sum project management, and methodologies for improving and resubmitting project proposals.
The training featured contributions from distinguished guest experts and practitioners from different European institutions and organisations, who shared valuable insights, practical tools, and real-life experiences related to the successful design, implementation, and management of EU-funded projects.
In addition to the training sessions, participants engaged in collaborative learning activities, including discussions on project sustainability, successful project practices, peer-learning exercises, and a World Café session, creating opportunities for the exchange of experiences and best practices among partner institutions.
The week also included a Steering Committee Meeting, during which project partners reviewed the progress of the project, discussed upcoming activities, and explored strategies to further strengthen cooperation and maximise project impact.
Following the completion of the Staff Training Week, an online reflection and evaluation session was organised to gather participants’ feedback on the content, pace, strengths, challenges, and overall learning experience. The feedback collected will contribute to the continuous improvement of future project activities and training initiatives.
Overall, the EU-GaNoM Staff Training Week provided an excellent opportunity for professional development, networking, and capacity building, while reinforcing collaboration among partner institutions and supporting the project’s mission of fostering innovation and excellence in higher education.
